Default O2 sensor location

I just recently bought a Dodge Ram 1500 (1998). It has a 5.2L V8 SFI and 4speed AT. I am not really familiar with Dodge's layout for all of its sensors and was wondering if I could get some guidance as to what O2 sensor needs to be replaced.

She threw a light about 2 months ago along with the ABS light so I am just trying to pick up the pieces and fix the problems.

OBDII read out gave me the following.

ENG: 35/P0500
Vehicle Speed Signal

ENG: 126/P0138
O2 1/2 Shorted HI

ENG: 5/-----
Charging Output Low

Temporary Codes.

Now I have a general idea what my problems are here.

An O2 sensor one out of however many (didn't crawl under yet). Speed sensor (mated to the tranny, axle, wheel hub i dont know). And I believe the alternator is on its final limb.

Anyone who can provide any insight as to the location of these sensors, your help would be greatly appreciated. Any hints or tips for getting access would do wonders also. Thanks guys!

Is your truck 2-wheel drive?
Cause if it is I believe there is wheel speed sensor on each hub and there should
beone onthe rear end over the dif . And there is 2 in tranny.
The O2 sensor's are in the exhaust I think there's only 2 one before and after the cat.
The best thing to do is try ceaning them before buying new due to they're kinda pricey.
Ask foe altenator you can always take your truck to autozone or advanced auto and have them load test .
I think they can do it while it's in yout truck.
Hope this help's

Negative, the truck is 4WD.

Also, the "Brake" and "ABS" lights are on however I am assuming this is related to the speed sensor.

You assume correctly. Replace the RWSS to fix the ABS/BRAKE lights lit up but only if your speedometer doesn't work right.

This has nothing to do with your codes though because a bad RWSS won't set a code.

The speedo doenst work in the sense that it won't read any MPH until you hit 45 then it shoots up to 45 and proceeds from there but if I were to be putzing around town all day doing 25 it just says zero and the needle just sits on 0. Does anyone know the location of the speed sensor? Rear Axle? Transmission Tailhousing? Rear Wheel Hub?

How can I determine also if my vehicle is actually equiped with Anti-Lock Brakes? The reason I ask is because in the past Ive had to stop in the hurry and they locked up so it puzzled me to see an ABS light on

The speed sensor should be on the rear diff. Anti-lock brakes are only on the rear wheels on your truck so you'll be able to lock up the fronts.
