Mileage and Lowering - New Dodge Owner
Dodge issued a service bulletin on the subject. People were haveing problems fitting the bed rails under fifth wheel trailers. So Dodge offered a service bulletin to replace the rear blocks with smaller ones. I'm not real sure what the size difference is but I think it's somewhere around 2". Ask your local stealership to pull up the list of bulletins and you may be able to get it done on their dime.
Ok, take a look at the price here too. You can get a bed crane for a couple hundred dollars, or you could bulid your own for even less - if you start lowering stuff and cutting and replacing and all that, you are looking at alot of time and a lot of money, and what happens if you mess something up and have to totally replace it?
Find a way to help bring the load to the truck. That is a lot easier than bringing to truck down to the load...

Dodge does have a stock lowering kit. Two shorter blocks for the axle. Except the TSB doesn't require Dodge to pay for it! The kit alone is almost 900$!!! The blocks must be gold...
no offence, but if you want a big, bad 2500 four by four, you're gonna have to deal with it. what size tires are on it now? if they were replaced with a larger size you can go back to stock or smaller than stock and that'll lower it some.
