Well guys i been hangin round the here for a few weeks and i love the forum but i can't find the answeres to my qts. (if i missed previous post im srry)
1) anyone know any companies that sell longtube headers for a 95 with a 318?
2) i was gonna get rid of the cat on my truck but i heard a few ppl say that gutted cat produces a funky hollow sound so i thought id get it replace with pipe instead anyinputor expience would be apreciated
3)curently im running a 1in/2 out flowmaster(40 i thinkbut im not sure)with turndowns......im takin it in the next few weeks to the exhuast shop to get tail pipes and 4x18 ss tips (thats why i got so many qts at once).a fewshops told me true duals with 40's and 1in/2 out 40 w/o cat sound the same .....but others said true duels with 40 is quite abit louder. anybody know from experience?...

I have a 95 with a 318. I don't have headers yet, but edelbrock or gibson seem to be the way to go. I cut off my y pipe and ran true duals back to the rear axle 2.5 inch pipe with a pair of 40 series flowmasters and no cats. It's loud as hell and sounds awesome. The only downside is I lost a lot of low end torque due to not having cats. I don't have near as much backpressure so it has no power at all off the line. I've been thinking about putting cats back on so I can gain a little more low end grunt.
