Default Newbie needin Exhaust help

I have a 1998 Ram 1500 Sport 4X4 with a 5.9L engine. I would like to install a set of shortie headers and run a 3" dual exhaust all the way back. Any tips or ideas re. what headers or exhaust system?

3" is a good size for a single ... 2.5" for duals.

From what I read here ... if you use pipe that big for duals your low end will su-hu-huck. With a 360, folks seem to get the best improvement with a 2.5" system ... unless you run a single pipe, then 3" is ok.

if your wantin torque, long tube headers will be better......if you do true duals you have to buy two of everthing

2.5" for single in duals out is a good size???
