You wouldn't be the Kahuna that used to be on pingertalk.com would you? Anyways a sport has painted bumpers and grill. They will be painted to match the rest of the truck. If it's not a sport you will have chrome bumpers and grill. I'm not sure of all the differences but thats an easy way to tell if you have a sport or not.

Oh ok I was just checking. If they are painted then you have a sport. Unless someone has done a conversion on it as I have seen some people put the painted bumpers on them but more than likely if you have painted bumpers it is a sport. Another differnce I forgot about is the headlights. On the sports they have 2 bulbs instead of 1 and they are clear instead of the diamond cut look the non sport ones have. I'm not sure what all the differences are someone else may know better but I know those are a few of them. The truck in your avatar looks to be a sport if thats your truck.

Yeah that's it. I haven't had it long and haven't driven it much. So far just did the mods. I'm a contractor and work has been piling up. It does have four bulbs. Thanks for the info.

So, kahuna, since you have your answer I hope you don't mind my asking a question in your thread...

I bought a '97 sport. It has the painted bumpers, 4x4sport decals, drivinglightsand the rolled rear pan but single headlights. What gives? It's a 5.9 auto.

I have a'96 Sport with "painted bumpers, 4x4sport decals, drivinglights" but no "rolled rear pan."

Mine was born with single bulbheadlights- boughtaftermarket duals.

Think '99 was the start of the Sport with dual bulb headlights and fog lights mounted in special holes in the bumper rather than the regular opening.

Dunno about the roll pan - thought that was part of another special model.

I remember you from them. TFMX kind of died when the hosting company I used shut down but I've thought about bringing it back but it would have to start over as a fresh forum and KTMRoost and I am not sure it's worth bringing back since it's been gone soo long but I've kind of been thinking about bringing it back anyway.
