Default Comp Cam Extreme

Has anyone installed a Comp Cam Extreme on their truck. Im having a problem with my truck and Im trying to trouble shoot. At Idle, it runs good, the minute I shift into any gear she idles hard and stalls. I have checked the timing and played with it and still no go.

yeah, you probably are in need of a tune, among other things. Any idea what your A/F ratio is? Did you break in the cam properly?

I broke in the cam, but it does say the computer needs modification. Would a Hypertech work?

What are the cam specs? Should say on your cam card what you have.
Are you getting any codes? Sounds like you need to check all your vacuum lines &make sure the igntion wires are correct. IAC could of crapped out on you.

Hypertechor Superchip wont help you run a big cam. When they say requires computer modification that means one of 3 things. MP PCM, B&G flash or a stand alone engine management.
My customComp Cams grind is the biggest they could make for a 360 (236/242-050, 580/577 lift, 114) It must have a stand alone to control it. Ive got a FAST s/a on my bench waiting to go in. (in Comps catalogue)

Did this start immediately after you installed the cam or was it driveable after you first installed it then this probubly showed up. If it started shortly after the cam install and not immediately after then it is possible it is the TC. When my TC was going out it would lock up every now and then while sitting in traffic and kill the engine. To get it to unlock again I would basicaly have to do a low rpm neutral drop from park Then is would be fine until it did it again.
