I have a 1998 ram 1500 v6. basic everything. i have about 205,000 miles on it with no major work done to it. Recently i've been losing oil pressure going from about 50 psi to 0. Sometimes the engine will knock other times it's been fine. Today i lost pressure and the engine was knocking like crazy. My last oil change was less then a week ago, and the 1 before that was about 6 weeks ago. Any idea's on what the problem could be? thanks

oil pump is most likely shot. change it before your engine goes bye bye.

 

sounds like a finiky oil pump to me as well.
