Default 360 with a burp

Hi all. I have a 20011500 4/4 with a 360 that has a problem I just can't seem to solve. When I'm cruising and not really on the gas my truck won't hold the rpms steady, it jumps up and then back down may 200 or so. It also does it with the cruise control on, and mostly at freeway speeds. I've replaced the wires, the plugs, the cap and rotor, all to no avail. I sure would be greatfull for any help anyone could give me. I love my truck and hate that there is something wrong with it.

easy one. replace throttle position sensor (tps) on drivers side of throttle body. about $35-40 at any parts store. for some reason autozone is higher on this (about $65). common problem. search on 'tps' for more info.

I hope that fixes your cruiseissue fellows but if it doesnt, (and probably won't) you'll need to replace the lockup selenoid assembly in your transmission. That's what fixed it for me (after not one but TWO TPS purchases). I shoulda listened to my tranny guy.
I have a brand new Niehoff TPS, used about a week, tests good on an ANALOGvom. No spikes, no dips.I'll sell it for20 bucks with the freight.
