Default rad leaking, is there a patch?

My rad has been leaking for a while, a few drops a day, but today it started leaking a lot, like a quart per few hours. I know the leak is where the bottom rad hose connects to the rad, i got the new hose, but if it is a crack in the rad, is there a patch i can put on there?

A good radiator shop can fix that for you, a friend of mineowns one and I really havent seen anything he couldnt fix in the way of leaks.I would get a quote first to see how much, may save some money If you take it out yourself. Or it may pay just to get a good 4 core.

Also never put anything inside your radiator except water and coolant, no stop leaks etc...etc....

I would just take it to a local shop, when it comes to the rad, alot of things depend on that to stay cool........goodluck

The plastic tank is cracked, much cheaper to have it repaired with a new tank than patching or replacing the whole thing.

Best thing is to have a rad shop fix it, but, if you want a short term patch, get a roll of that steel putty found in most auto stores. It goes by different names but its a grey putty with black core that you pull a piece off the roll and roll it around in your hand until the colors mix, then press it into the hole/crack. Sets up fast, cures rock hard in no time. I've used this on rads before and it works great.
