Default low mileage old truck???

Hello... I purchased a 1996 1500 CC4x4 5.9 Ram (Richard Petty Edition)with a little over 32,000 miles on the OD from a toyota dealer used car lot..It looks like it's been garage keep the whole time inside and out and it came with a 12 month 12,000 mile powertran warranty....Other then the powertran what things should I keep an eye on for age and lack of use or dry rott...Everything seems to be working good and runs excellent and appears to be completely stock...

Upgrades and preventive items or maintenance ideas would be great (ex: Trans cooler, Shiftkit, better intake?????)

Will post a pic soon....

I would leave that thing as stock as possible ... hell ... I wouldn't even DRIVE it. I don't know how many of them they made but I'd bet it'll be worth a pretty penny in about 10-15 more years.

Ya, I think I have only ever seen one of those before. Not sure how much value they will actually have, but it is a rare option. A dealership might be able to tell you exact production numbers. Mind telling us what you paid for it?

I was thinking of putting a towing package(drophitch, lights hook-upkit, trans cooler)on it for towing mine and the wife's bikes...Maybe an intake, just a bolt-on kit (save the original stuff of-coarse)for a little more air and maybe the get rid of the original cat..I read on here that they go bad quick??? That's about it..oohh and my dad recommended getting a shift kit for the trans said it helps with logevity and towing????

Neither had I ... looked it up ... they're real. That's why I think it might be worth something someday.

I've heard of them but don't think I've ever seen one in person. I'm kind of like the others that thing would sit in my garage 100% stock. This coming from a guy that doesn't like to leave anything stock.

I never do many changes to my car/trucks and I work real close to home so never put alot of mileage on a truck (last trunk I put less then 30,000 miles on it in over 4 years)..I am going to add the xtra trans cooler (can only help even on resale)and towing light kit, but just use the stock bumper (seems pretty strong) the trailer and two bikes don't weigh anything near the trunks towing limits...I will get some better pics up soon...Would you recommend a K&N filter for the stock replaceover a wholenew intake???
