Default oil usage

i have a 97 dodge ram 1500 2wd 5.9 . every time i pull a trailer ill use a lot of oil. There is no oil burn off in exhaust. Put a new gasket uner the cold air intake because there wasnt one. Somebody told me that was the part of the problem. My valves could have gotten dirty and they werent closing right. Ran some cleaner through the engine. it was fine for a while and now it started again. There are no leaks underneath the truck. No idea where is going. Any ideas?

good possibility that its the plenum gasket. hughes performance makes a replacement steel gasket and bottom plenum plate. Did it to my 97 dakota 2 years ago and havent eaten a drop of oil since.......Dallas
