Alright, I went against my gut instinct, and bought a USED hypertech from ebay, he stated that it was set back to stock in his questions part of the page...

I get the controller, and low and behold ITS NOT SET BACK TO STOCK...

I email the guy, he wanted me to call hypertech because he said they would reset it for me, hypertech wants $250 to reset it.
Email him back, he basically doesn’t say anything, I tell him he needs to take back the controller and he said he needs to investigate further...

Trying to help I put in front of me EVERYTHING that COULD of happened, that I could of got the controller, reset my truck and played it as not set back to stock... you know what I mean?
Well now, basically he is pinning on me that im lying and that I DID infact reprogram my truck.

I DID NOT, it never even worked.

I even took pictures of the hypertech saying that it has not been set back to stock.

I’m giving him 1 more chance to settle, then i am opening a case with Ebay.

Is there any better way of proveing that I am right here?
Anyone by any chance know how to reset the hypertech for free? (lol).

Believe me, it wasn’t worth the extra money I saved over a NEW one.

 

not only with ebay but with paypal put a claim in... make sure you saved all the emails from each other and the pictures is a good idea..make sure you put in the claim that you spoke to hypertech... It does not work the seller lied about it..... After clicking on the link i see it says used but scroll down and it says new ?

 

If you open a case with eBay they will ask you to have someone experienced verify that the programmer will not work. It's actually pretty easy to do. Just find a local mechanic that would be able/willing to write them a letter and verify that the programmer was not reset. That should take care of it. There's never any guarantees, but I wish you the best of luck.

 

Hopefullyyou used paypal. Like already said file the claims with ebay and paypal. The only way to set it back is to run it on vehicle it is set for or have Hypertech do it.
