Default Aftermarket / Alterantive seats for 40/20/40

Does anyone know if there are any aftermarket seats that will fit the risers in a 99 dodge ram with a 40/20/40 bench seat? Or are there any other chrysler vehicles that I can take the seats out of and do the same.

I have looked around in the auto salvage yards wiht no louck.....

(Please serious responsesonly.... I am not concerned with if this is COOL or not and I could care less if it easier to have sex in a bench seat or bed of the truck) (This is in response to the brialant jerks that responded to my last post!)

I don't know about other vehicles seats fitting, but I saw an episode of Trucks yesterday on Spike TV, and Stacey was working on a '99 Ram project called the Little Red Wagon. He ripped out the stock interior, and put in new carpet and seats. He bought these sweet seats from Styling Concepts I believe, and they come with a custom riser designed specifically for what ever vehicle you are installing the seats in. It was basically a box tube frame that fits the Ram cab, but allows for a variety of seats to mount to it. Not sure what your budget is, but that could be an option.

Also, I see seats on eBay all the time.

I have been thinking along the same lines as Dutch114. When I get home this weekend I am going to check the mounting location of the seats in a 3rd gen. My best friend has an 04. I can measure and see if the mounts are in the same location, or at least close so that with slight modifications they can be made to fit. My gut is probably not because the 3rd gen seems like a wider truck, but I do not know if that is an optical illusion or not.

I have the vynal bench seat in my 2000 Dodge Ram like I said in the other post, but I've been need a 40/20/40 seat so I can fit a center console like this: http://galls.com/style.html?assort=g...4&cat=2692

Right now as a temp, I have my scanner, CB, and my switches for mny blue lights just laying on the floor and I can do that anymore because they slide around causing my blue lights to just flash on. Bad. lol.

If anyone knows where I could find some 40/20/40 seats, not trying to hog the thread from Dutch114, I wouldn't mind getting some info about getting those seats.

Thanks for the heads up silver. I found what you are talking about. There were two different adapter on the sitedepending on which brand of seat you look at. Unfortunately the seats aren't anything special and cost and arm and a leg.

360, keep us posted with what you find out about the '04 seats.

One of the guys at work has a 2000 durango, I will see if he will let me take a look at the seats this week. I doubt they will be even close, but it would be interesting to find out.

I did just what you are asking. Found a 40/20/40 at the junkyard for $50 a few weeks ago and mounted it in place ofmy ragged outreg. bench. Made a world of difference!
I had looked on the 'net for sources but found it just down the road. I'd spend some time on the phone or road to find one at a salvage yard.
Things to remember:
1. Ask/look for a vehicle with all windows still in = seat not subjected to weather
2. Get the mounting bolts that go with the split seat. You'll need 2 additional floor bolts with the change.
3. When installing the split, mount the two seats first, then the center. Don't try putting the whole shebang in at once!
4. Consider the condition of the foam in the two splits. Drivers side gets the most use, so you may want to swap the foam for the passenger's side. (wish I did this before installing). I ended up putting some flat wood shims between the foam and wire under the drivers seat to correct any sag.

Hope this helps in some way.
