Default Which headers?

1999 Ram 2500 4x4 360 V8 used for daily driving and towing a 6k lb Jeep/trailer WOuld like something that focuses more on low-mid range torque. I'm going with shorty headers and they must be 50 state emissions legal (gotta love good old CA) Which headers should I get?

Default RE: Which headers?

I had a set of the Pacesetter/Summit headers on my 01 Ram and they were a pain in the *** to install due to the flange bolt holes not aligning correctly with the heads. They also burnt out rather quickly. I now have a set of Edelbrock ceramic shorties and they look and sound great. Installation took less than hour and that included removing and replacing the plugs and plug shields. Everything lined up perfectly and exactly. Another huge difference is that I believe the Edelbrocks are 17 gauge steel while the Pacesetter/Summit headers were only 14 gauge steel.

love my edelbrocks.

I have edelbrock shorties and have been very happy. And as said, the lower the gauge the better.
You can see pics of my Edelbrocks in my gallery or the link in my sig. They are the silver ceramic coated part # 65642, $370 from Summit Racing.
