Default lift

I'm still in high school and I have a 2001 dodge ram 4x4. I wanted to lift it a little but nothing too radical because my mom wouldn't allow me to. I was wondering what the best way to go about lifting it about 2" would be. I realize it would not be that noticeable but that would enable me to fit bigger tires. I know the off road editions are lifted 2" and i like the look of those. Any of you have pictures of a 2001 with 2"? I'm not sure if the easiest way would just be a leveling kit in the front and blocks in the back or what. Or if I tried to find a off road edition kit that someone is selling. Thanks

Get 2" blocks for the rear and 2500 springs for the front.

just my .02, but i would just do a 2 inch body lift. you obviously would want more lift if your mom would allow it. so just do the body lift now, maintain your stock ride quality until you can convince her to let you do what you want withit rather than dump money into suspension parts that you will toss later for new/more lift. the body lift is something you can leave on there any never worry about it again

jarheadx where did you get your 2500 springs from and how much did they cost? I'm thinking that is the way I would go. As for the body lift, I wouldn't be lifting the truck anymore till I got college paid for. And at that point I might not even own the truck anymore. Also I don't like the way the gap looks by the rear bumper so I think the $200 for the suspension lift would be the way to go for me. Thanks for the help

Get a set of 3" spacers and maybe an AAL for the rear and be set. Shocks probably wouldn't hurt but I don't think are required.

gap by the bumper? theres 2 fixes for that....1. brackets or 2. drill new holes, i opted for choice 2.....anywho, all we can do is tell you what works for us..we all have our opinions on what works and what doesnt, in the end, its your truck and only you know what you can do with it....body lift or suspension..who cares, just put some space between your truck and the ground...and get pictures
