Default Service -96 Ram in Santa Cruz,CA

Ok, so its closing up on 72k miles, it´s going to need tranny oil, engine oil, band adjustment etc.
So now, were fo i turn to get this done, i´m pretty new both in the country and in the area, can anyone point me in a good direction for a relaiable and good service shop with Ram experiance, i have already been in touch with the local stealership and i dont like them at all, so thats not an option.

So if anyone has any local connections,or knows anyone, i will gladly pay the full price as long it´s gets done correctly.

Thanks

Everything you mentioned is really easy to perform yourself ... why not give it a try. We're always here to help. Save a buttload of cash and get a pretty good feeling that you did it yourself ... and you'll know it was done right.

i dont know any good repair shops in santa cruz, but i know a few in the fremont hayward area which is about an hour north of santa cruz. The transmission shop is called schucks transmissions. As far as engine oil just any shop can do that. Cant really screw up on that.

I would but i dont really have a garage, and i am able to do the engine oil switch no problem, but when it comes to adjust tranny bands and change oil, i´m not 100%, can someone give me a good faq on how to do it,and what kind of tools do i need`?

Have you downloaded the Ram service manual yet? It's for a 2001 but most everything is the same from year to year. The simpler stuff didn't change. Here's the link:
