resetting Engine Check light on 2001

How do you reset the engine check light on a 2001? My manual in addition to not saying code P0455 is an emissions leak, does not tel you how to reset the engine check light without a scan tool.

I think I need a new manual!!

I think if you disconnect the battery for a few minutes it will reset, but I'm not positive.
