I agree. It would make it easier to buy and sell items.

its not in affect yet because the admins have to desides on what to do and see whats going to work best with setup and server usage. its going to take up alot of space having to add sub-sections to all the car forums so we need to plan the best way to do this and if its even feasible... if it doesnt work out though u can all beat me up lol

 

Well in all honesty, I never really read anything on other parts of the forum. I have 2nd Gen linked so I just go straight there. I actually don't know or have ever really talked to anybody else other then 2nd Gen guys on here. This includes all the stuff in the For Sale section. There could have been stuff I was interested in but I never look there because most of it isn't 2ng gen stuff. This is probably a good reason that the market place isn't as strong as it is on other web sites. Splitting up the For Sale section would be great not just for us 2nd Gen but every other section.

Maybe split it up into a few sections, not really every generation or vehicle, but like Rams, Neons, Dakota's, ect. Other sites have better luck with a single marketplace because they are all based on the same thing. For example www.pirate4x4.com and www.greatlakes4x4.com Both sites have VERY good market places, tons of deals are made everyday. I check them everyday because they are completely Off Road related, and tons of stuff is added everyday. People with Neons don't want to see lift kits, duel exhauts, or brush guards, and people with Rams don't want to see spoilers, shinny rims, or street glow kits. You get the point.

Also if server usage is being maxed out we could do something like Pirate4x4. I know quite a few people on here donate to the site but 95% of people don't. Maybe having a years membership for a moderate fee that comes with a few other perks. Like stickers, special deals from some of our sponsors, give-aways, ect. If your not a member you can still cruise the forums, get info, post your info and opinions, you just won't be involved in some of the "perks" of being a paid member.

It would be a great idea to incourage some of our sponsors/venders to get active on the forum. I know we have tons of sponsors but I don't know anything about their produnts so I never go to their sites. On sites like Pirate4x4 many of the sponsors are very active on the boards. When they're more active they get to know people, and when they personally advertise their product feel they're getting buisness from the forum and would be more interested in donating an item for one of the possible said giveaways.

I dunno, just my opinion. I know this would be alot of work and pretty much a whole site redo. I also think it would be worth it, this is one of the most popular and busyest sites for Dodge, not just Rams.

 

After I read through this is a perfect example of what I mean!

 

I think its a great idea, I have searched through the mountain of crap looking for something I wanted. Would be much easier.

I'm for it also. I'll browse the FS section once in a while but trying to sift through all the other stuff means I don't spend alot of time there.

 

Maybe just a Dodge car and Dodge Truck. I dont think there is a need to break it down to each model.
