Default Tuning Up My Truck, Need Help!

I am going to be giving my truck a tune-up in the next few weeks. It's a 99 Ram 1500 4x4, with the 5.2L engine and auto trans.I will be replacing
- Spark Plugs
- Spark Plug Wires
- Air Filter
- PCV Valve
- Distributer Cap
- Rotor

I am looking for opinions on brands for these items. I'm not looking to spend a ton of money, but if there is an affordable way to maybe net a few extra horses while tuning it up, I'm listening! ( I mean by choosing a specific plug wire over another, something like that.) The truck badly needs a tune-up, and I don't want to get cheapo parts, but I don't want to break the bank, either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A K & N air filter is the way to go... they have been know to work extremely well with the 2nd gen Dodge rams...itt will also give it a little boost in performance

spark plugs - autolite / champs / ngk .. if you got pinging try a colder plug autolite 3923...

cap&rotor- the cap get a brass (napa)
air filter- nothing wrong with a K&N but napa gold is a good replacement
wires -8.0mm , 8.5mm or stock (napa)... but if u want some thrill in your get up and go , get MSD coil , wires , (high performance stock replacement coil)... accel coil....good luck !

Looks pretty expensive for what you get. I'd piece it together getting the exact parts I wanted (cooler plugs, fatter wires, etc.) ... might wind up costing the same or even less and you'll get what you really want.
