Default what fits???

i know that ford and dodge 8lug wheels will interchange perfectly, and i THOUGHT that the 5 lug would also(always heard they would) but they wont. what is exactly the lug bolt pattern on them? my 99 ram 1500 is about a quarter to half inch larger than the ford pickup pattern.

I had the wheel from my dads 96 F125 on my truck, and it worked on the rears, but not on the front becuase it rubbed the caliper.

What year was the ford truck you got the tire from?

dodge is 5x5.5
ford 5 lugs are different, depending on year. newer ones are some metric crap, and i believe the older ones were the same as jeeps, 5x4.5, but i could be mistaken on that.

full size ford pickups up to 97 (new body change) has the same 5 on 5.5 as the dodges. Rangers and bronco 2's have the same as the jeeps 5 on 4.5
