WOT fan noise

WOT fan noise

When i press the gas half to wide open throttle my truck sounds like a box fan hitting the plastic cage. I have a 97 1500 v6 3.9. pls help me with this problem. thank you in advance.

Have you popped the hood and revved it by hand? You'll get a better idea of where the noise is coming from.

yes it seems to do it when its under a load not in neutral

Grab the fan blade(with the engine off)see if it turns.If not,the clutch is locked up...easy fix.

Maybe try popping the hood, set the parking brake and/or chock the wheels (safety first!) and power-brake in drive with someone off to the side looking/listening for the sound. Maybe a motor mount????
