95 dodge ram actuator.. or housing?
help! we replaced the actuator fork 4 4times ,WITH clips, the actuator itself, the front axles. what seems to be wrong here? anyone ever have this problem? after replacing it with ALL oem parts, the 4x4 gives out within 5 miles..... housing is not cracked nor bent. dodge dealer cannot even figure this one out!

what do you mean by "after 5 miles the 4 wd gives out" ? gives out how ? what all breaks ?
the fork just slides a collar over the 2 piece axle. it shouldn't have any pressure on it at all.
i'd recommend putting the truck up on 4 jack stands, taking the cad assy off, manually sliding the collar and run the truck in 4wd and watch to see what is happening. don't get hurt. if you are breaking forks, something is badly binding or out of alignment.
by the way, are you driving on slippery surfaces or hard dry pavement. dry pavement causes some serious drive line binding when turning. combined with something else, it might be causing a lot of stress
