Make your own S bolt from 1/4" 20 threaded rod
Need 5 1/8" opening in the base
Max as far as I know is 1/2 drop on the base and that will allow you to use a 3" tall filter.
If you have a 52mm tb the S bolt needs to be a bit longer.

Dont waste your time with the tb spacer, put it on ebay. You will not be able to fit the 14x2.75" filter under your cowl if you add the spacer. To get a filter that size to fit, need to have a 1/2" drop base.
The threaded rod screws into the hole between the 2 butterflies.

I changed my order 10" rd/2" high k/n . My tax returnshould be coming in pretty soon and I think about upgrading to a 52mm fastman tb[8D][sm=gears.gif]
Then I also think about getting either a stage 2 chip or a Force SSbull bar!
The spacer makes a nice marker bouy anchor

Guy ... you need to stop dreaming about installing a chip. You'll be wasting your cash.

Any tips for making the bends in the threaded rod to make your own s-bolt? The rod broke on my first attempt at beding it. Do I need to heat it or use any special technique or anything?
Thanks for any ideas.
