Default Growling sound from front not brakes ?

My son has a 99 ram 1500 2 w drive. It is making a growling sound from the front passenger side on left turns . also makes the same sound when braking I thought it was the brakes . I put new pads on todayI did not change the rotors they looked good . Pads could have lasted another 6 months but I went a head and replaced them. ANY IDEAS ????????

Sounds like its time for hub bearings. Lift your front tires off the ground, grab a tire at the top and bottom and try to move it (wiggle). Any play is a sign of immenent hub bearing failure.

definatly time to change brake pads. Mine just started doing it today. what it is is either a warning tab that makes contact with the rotor when the pad gets low, or the pad is just so low that its actually grinding metal. I dont remember the setup of the ram pad, but i think its just a warning tab, letting you know its time.

lol sorry, didnt c u changed pads...i second bearings then/.
