Replacing factory link arm bushings
I have clunking in my floorboard and from what I have researched this is caused by worn out bushing in the link arms. I have seen a few aftermarket kits that come with urethane bushings instead of rubber. This is supposed to cure the problem because they won't wear out or shrink up and cause slop. My question is has anyone just replaced the factory bushing in the stock link arms with urethane bushings instead of replacing everything? Seems like a logical solutuion. I have a '95 Ram 1500 sport 4X4.
if you can get the stock bushings out of the arm, installation of new bushings is a piece of cake. but i think getting the old bushings out would be hard enough to make me want to just buy new arms

If you have a press or something it'll be easy. You can rig up press's with bottle jacks and such.
A nice big 10 ton or bigger press would make easy work of it.
