Upgrading 2nd gen to 3rd gen FRONT END ???
I just purchased a 1997 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel dually. Am sure ive seen the 02 fron end on them or at least the headlights and bumper. Ive been looking all over the web for a bodykit or more info on converting the 94-01 to the next Gen, but i cant find anything. I came across this site and am hoping someone here can help me with this, at least a bodykit or something? I could have bought a newer truck, but it wasnt gona be diesel or dually so i figured i could change the front end and have a really nice truck cheaper.
Thanks in advanced

i dont know where you guys could find i kit but i did see that a guy did it on a truck he was selling on ebay it was a rebuilt 01 with 03 bumper etc. I think he said that they just bolted on but if that true i don't know it was awhile ago, there might not be anything short of going to the wreckers and buying the body parts that you need and probably a grinder
doubt its bolt on.. 3rd gens look wider for some reason. also you'll need new fenders, grille, hood, lights, bumper, brackets, probally new doors to match the front fenders, then maybe new back fenders to match the door.. then new rear bumper and tail gate to match the rear fenders.

you'd basicly be stripping down to the frame and trying to bolt up the whole body, it just wont work, i think the frames are way too different to make it work. the cheapest route would be just to buy a new one, or spend that money making the diesel motor pu9t over 800lbs of torque out or more some people like 1000, but w/e i'd soup the hell out of it
