Im doing a full tune up and im looking for an MSD coil for my 98 ram 318. Could i use the one for the 97 and use the accel wiring kit or does MSD make one for the 98??

any help will work.

You would need to use the accel kit .. to use the msd coil ..MSD does not make that kit for the 98 and newer rams.. the only wiring harness they have is if you install a msd ingition box......

 

so i can get the one for the older ram and just get the accel kit and be good to go ?

 

yes ive seen it done in person... where they used a msd coil for late model ram and used the accel wiring for the newer ram... if you go to msd website they have a forum there .. and some one ask this same question... and used the accel wiring to hook it up..
