hey guys i got a 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 and i brought it up to a shop for a safety inspection before i brought it up to the U.P. of michigan and they came back and told me that i need to replace the upper and lower ball joints, new tie rod ends, and something with the trac bar almost falling off. he also told me i shouldnt take it to the U.P. because one little bump could break it. i wasnt too happy about all of this and i didnt take it but about a month later from him telling me all that i went into a ditch and my front end still held up so i was happy about that, but thats not where im going with this. my friend has the same exact truck as mine but the sport edition and he had to get the same thing done and he spent about $1500 on having them fix it and i def dont want to pay for that so i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if you fixed it, was it hard or would i be able to take a day to do it?
