im looking for a cheap bolt on cat back dual exhaust. i looked at jc whitney and e bay most of them are 150.00 to 250.00 which is cheap enough but they alluse mufflers for the "y" pipe and i want just a pipe "y"... i want it kinda loud so i dont really want to buy the kit if its going to be muffled.... any advise

I took my truck to an exhausts shop and they cut out the converter and gave me true duals from the engine out the back with dual Magnaflow mufflers for $300. It sounds good and improved my MPG by 3 miles. It's not legal but if you can get away with it.

 

I bought a Magnaflow Cat for about 80 and a Flowmaster Super 40 for about 100 and had it all put on at my local exhaust shop for 50 bucks, cant beat that with a very large stick. Course, I dont have duels I just a singe in duel out muffler with turn down tips dumped right after the muffler. I love the sound of the Flowmaster 40 with it dumped. Its farely loud in and outside the truck.

do you have a 4wheel drive? The reason I ask is because I want to dual my 98 1500 Sport (see sig) from the motor back with a set of JBA headers but I can't fot the life of me see how to get around the fuel tank. I can probably squeeze the pipe between the transfer case and frame but that tank sits right smack in the middle. Any suggestions????????

 

ended up buying a complete kit ot of jc whitney for 219.00 and free shipping cant remember the brand name though.. ill post next week onhow it turns out..
