Has anyone done a custom turbo kit on a ram 1500 with a 360 v8 engine?if so.was it a pain?

 

im looking to do one this summer or next, im buying a t3 turbo in a t4 housing and putting it on my exhaust ...similar to the STS setup and them im buying a FMU and running it this way.

 

i'm coming from a totally different world of modding (gm 3800 v6's mostly) so i have a few questions as well:

what kind of compression ratios do the magnum V8's have? what are the pistons made of? and do we have knock sensors? also, is there engine tuning software available for OBD-II dodge trucks (not chips or performance modules)?

those would be the first questions i'd ask when comtemplating a turbo setup. maybe also question the strengh of conn. rods & crank. i'd love to see a few hair-dryer equipped ram's running around, it's not like we don't have enough room under the hood

 

your putting a T3 on a 5.9?? doesnt that seem a little small for such a large engine?

 

its gunna just giv me about like 5-6 pounds of boost, its not going to be a ton, but its going to be a little bit more then what i got now of course
