Default oil light

i have a 97 ram 1500 with the 5.9 in it and recently my oil light comes on after i have driven the vehicle and it is idling in reverse or drive...the light does not come on in park or neutral...when the light comes on nothing else happens the rpms dont drop and the oil pressure stays right up by 40.....anyone have this problem or maybe what it could be...and my OBD II connector in the truck quit working

it wasnt the pcm..after extensive testing after work i found out since i put a true double roller timing chain the pcm just finally relearned itself but when i put it in gear it idles at about 300 rpms so the computer thinks we have an issue when really there isnt one.....thanks to all

so i just got back from florida and park my truck and i come outside to see a big pool of oil under my truck it appears my rear main seal along with the ol pump died and after tearing it all apart i found the my rear main bearing cap is missing pieces due to the fact my harmonic balancer had went out and caused a bad vibration...the good news is the bearing is still good and i now have an extra oilway the bad news is my oil pump picked up all the pieces...so a bottem end rebuild is in the works
