This page will tell you how much of a speedo change you can expect to see when you change tire sizes:

Pretty sure 97 back has the tranny gear. 98 up use the RWSS.
so i think you just change the speedo gear, going down ? one tooth to turn the speedo faster.

why are you buying "P" tires for a truck???

at least thats what the topic says....

"P" is for cars, "LT" is for TRUCKS!!! 3/4 ton needs min 8 ply tires. 1/2 ton should have 6 ply.

Uh huh ... gears available here: http://www.transmissioncenter.net/sp...__va.htm#dodge

BTW ... bajafun ... these trucks come from the factory with P-metrics. Agreed ... LT is better (and I would recommend them) but they're not necessary.

Yeah, the P thing was just kind of a typo. I'm use to putting that.

dont forget to check for the speed differential from size to size....

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

just fill in the blanks and it will tell ya how fast you are goin vs what the factory speedo says.
