I have run a K&N FIPK and a round filter, and thought that the round filter was slightly better from a performance standpoint, especially at full throttle. They both yielded about the same MPG, no dicernable difference. The FIPK is quieter, but the round filter cleans up the engine bay more and looks better in my opinion.

I think the general opinion when this question is asked almost weekly is that the round air cleaner is better. It's also quite a bit cheaper.

Where's the best place to get the round Style. I have been wanting to do something with that crap stock air box that doesnt seal right. Never been a big fan of CAI it just leaves more room when your out mudding and hit a big puddle for water to work its way in.

Don't run the round style if you like the mud or water. This will be the result (see pics). Even with a pre-filter cover, I think it would still be bad news. The stock intake is actually very good if you like to mud. Or fab a snorkel.

Cool Go round young man!!

Hey dodgeboy I just did put a 14X3 round a/c on and I love it! I got a total of $50.00 in to it and it looks and sounds good. I have also noticed a better throttle response and it sounds "mean". Gave alot more room in the engine bay also. The only thing you have to do is fab a "S-bolt" which is pretty easy just do a search on it. Have fun!!

Awe hell, just throw a pair of fat chick panty hose over the filter and spray 'em down with some WD-40. It'll be fine.
