i put on the truck, at first it didn't to do much but take off was alot easier... after the computer relearned a little i had a better take off with less and better throttle response..... but then the $hit the fan..... now i have a problem in 2nd gear so i went back to the old tb and i helped a little but the problem is still here but not as bad,, going to try to fix the trans problem before i put it back on, i may start a new thread about the trans if can't fix it..

and now with the old tb back on i can really tell difference

Make sure you installed the TV cable linkage correctly if you removed it from the linkage bracket on the passenger side. That'll screw with shifting.

Im betting you should post how 2nd gear acts to determine if it is a Tv cable adjustment. Like if its shifting early / late vs. something else. I've taken the three bolts out of the stock tb before and swapped with a fastman. The difference I saw delayed shifts and no power difference since i stay below 2000rpm 95% of the time. Back to the point when I put my stock tb back on it seemed to bring it back to the way it was with normal shifts. So to answer your question about taking the three bolts out, mine hasn't changed the few times I have taken it off to clean the tb, swap the tb, etc... so your prb good. You may have noticed the latter change I said. If thats the case it may just need that adjustment like aim was talking about.

I believe this ought to do the trick for you

thanks pcfixer.

going to try my best, my trans problem only happens when shifting at 2000rpms or less with the poor man tb it would do it all the time, so no to what i does, so form take off 1st gear it will shift into 2nd it 1600rpms then like shift into second again almost like its double shifting this all happens with in a sec on it shifting into 2nd gear the frist time.... so out of 1st gear at 1600(now in2nd) drop down to 1500(we are in 2nd) then jumps back up to 1600 then back to 1500 like it shifting twice..... also the shifts are hard both times

now with the stock one put back on it harder to get it to shift werid, but when it does the shifts are all so hard...

hope this makes cents
