Default Leveling kit, Major Major Problem

So I've been hunting for the noise in my front end, and today I found it. I installed a 2 inch leveling kit a few weeks ago and on the rebound have had bump steer and a huge thunking noise when the truck comes back up.

The back of the spindle, right where the ball joint connects to it, is crashing into the top of the bump stop tower.

Holy Geometry batman! Regardless, I think I'm going to go with a pair of Doetsch 2 inch lift springs, or 3 inch lift spindles. I've gotta get on the horn with their folks and see what they have to say.

Anyone had this problem with leveling spacers before?

Anyways, I suppose I can grind off part of the tower where the bump stop sits to get that 1/2 inch of clearance I need, but I only see that as a bandaid, because the the upper arm would then crash fully into the top of the tower.

Idk, I think I see limit straps in my future.

I think I've figured a solution. I'm going to cut a tiny bit off of the edge of the bump stop seat, so my spindle will clear. Then, I will jack up the truck until I reach full extension (next interference point) measure, subtract about 1/2 inch, then make a little trip to ORW.

For now, I plan on correcting the problem with limit straps welded to the lower arm and to the frame.

In the long run, I plan on getting a new set of upper and lower arms, and using King Coilovers w/ air bump stops.

Long travel FTMFW.

Will do. I bought some Beard 10 inch straps today, and am installing them on Wednesday.

I welded in a strap a little while ago. I'm going to have to move my bracket about a half inch higher. The compression in my spring is so great that It stretches the 3ply beard strap I have... lol

Pictures in a bit.

So, here's how it sits as of now. (When finalized the welds will be painted/coated)

and here is a picture that I took of a Soviet Submarine. Completely Unrelated.
