Question Exhaust long or short.

So after hitting that tree a few weeks ago I bent the y pipe. I had planned on putting short tube's on but now since I bent the y pipe I have an exhaust leak.

Since I already have the short tubes should I get a new y pipe and put the shorts on.

Or sell the shorts and get long tubes?

If I got the long tubes I would still have to buy a new cat due to pa emssions laws.

It looks like I would only be out 200 with cat and long tubes with y pipe.

I'm looking at getting it fixed by the spring before inspection. I'm leaning toward long tubes since I have to get a new y pipe might as well make is breath very good.

I would sell the shorts and get the long tubes.
I just put shorties on mine only because the rest of my exhaust was in good shape,
if my y pipe and or cat where bad I would have gone long tube,
the long tube have better design than the shorts.

and the stock y-pipe is a bottle neck you would see a big diffrence if you went to a different y-pipe

Ya I know what you are talking about, I just didn't want to go the extra $ right now,I don't like the way the drivers side shorty is made,I'm planning on the long and y when I need a new cat.

true duels in some states you need 2 cats 2 mufflers but you wouldn't if you are runing them into a y pipe you just have to move the cat
