i think i might go with the painted longtubes of ebay brand or pacesetter then i will for sure get them jet hot coated as it will make them last longer and they really stand by their products and have only heard good things from them

i got mine from ebay, course mine are for a v10 but i would pressure check the welds before you put them on, i found a bad weld on one after of which i had already installed them and i would check the gasket material that comes with them, they also could be useless but other than that i saved some $$$ however i just wish i would have checked the headers a little bit more closely, as i haven't fixed the leak yet a v10 is a pain in the butt.

i got some ebay cheapies. i think they were something like 130$. but mine had much better looking welds than the ones you posted.

the day they were installed

and after about 3 years with the valve covers leaking all over them

these were lots of fun to install by the way.

bolts breaking isn't really a problem if you use a good penetrating fluid.
by fun, i was talking about a couple bolts that are a pain to get torqued down because of the big bend in the pipe.

If your truck is completely stock, I wouldn't waste the time and aggravation of headers. If you have future modifications in mind, I would go with a good proven quality set. I just don't think the gains of headers alone, outweigh the the problems associated with them.
