99 5.9 2wd cold air intake
I turn the key let the fuel pump spin up and then I turn the key it starts for about 1 second then shuts off. I try again does the same thing, I stop take the key out re-do the whole process but it starts no problem. It did this last week, did it again today too but this time I gave it some throttle when it tried to quit and it reved up and started to idle. My tb has never been cleaned. No codes on the computer.
So where do I start?

 

Buy a TB gasket, they are like two bucks. Disconnect battery, remove TB. Remove IAC motor from back of TB. clean all the crap out of it. Clean it some more. Reinstall with new gasket. Hook up battery, start truck. Should idle funky for a minute or three, then get over it, and your problem 'should' be gone.

 

mine did that i just had a bad ground to my battery check it make sure all wiires going to it are good and free uf build up i redid mine and truck starts and stays running!
