Default 200,000 mile Fix Up 96 Ram 1500 Sport

Ok guys, so since everyone here is so awesome and willing to help out as a newbie to Dodge Forums I wanna give something back right away. Ive had this truck for 11 years and have put on 200,000 miles doing nothing but oil changes every 3k untill now. I got quoted $500 for two lower ball joint replacements, got feed-up, started searching the internet found RM-Indy's website and now RM-Indy has made me go crazy! Heres the Pics I got for ya.

Way Cool! Looking pretty damn good there. Even stripped out, things look pretty clean up front. Nice.

Now that this mod is complete. My next mod was going to be the E-Fan. However, after this i noticed going up a steep grade and accelerating like crazy that i heard pinging and knocking. Since im at 200,000 miles, and I do have Moderate Oil Consumption, Ill assume that my plenum gasket is gone. Since Im going replace that I am looking into other items that should be replaced. Heres what i got:

1) oil pump
2) oil pan gasket
3) timing set
4) timing gasket kit
5) water pump
6) two precat O2 Sensors
7) plenium plate repair kit huges
8) Intake bolts
9) Throttle Body Gasket
10) Coolant temp sensors
11) Oil Pressure Sensor
12) Heater Hoses

Am I missing anything here? Not going for performance just reliability. Thanks to the end all be all plenum DYI for this info and thanks to other dodge ram member input. What else should i be checking at 200,000 miles.

You can see what Ive replaced at the beginning of this thread. Replaced thermostat, flushed radiator and replaced hoses.. etc. Got new edelbrock shorty headers and a rollpan to do before this project just figured I may as well start getting stuff together. Thanks again everyone.

If your sensors are currently working, re-use them.

Have a look at your cats as well. Burning oil tends to clog them.

I would hold off on the oil pump. If you really want to get one, only get the stock one. If you get a high flow one, you "need" to replace the primming rod with a hardened one. Most people skip that, but you run the chance of your oil pump failing because of that.

Looks REALLY nice. Was that POR-15 (do it yourself) or Ziebart? I got the ziebart.

Wow excellent work man! Truck is looking great! You will definitely like the Cal Vu SS mirrors over the floppy chrome elephant ears. I love mine, had them color matched to my pickup.

Be careful with RM Indy's site...it will fill you with envy, and the mod bug.

I love hearing about dodges making 200,xxx+ miles, just proves that much more that dodge is plain awesome.

I have 233,xxx on mine, and i'm doing the plenum kit along with valve seals, if you wanted to go through and through i'd do valve seals as well, but if your're not majorly concerned then you can probably overlook it. Seeing how just doing the seals is a fairly big job, in perspective with how much you have to tear apart, and it being about $100. Which isn't bad, but put that on top of everything else you're doing and it adds up.

Just an extra thought for you though, and really nice truck. Very clean!
