Default HID and a 01 Ram

I have no clue where to begin. I want a 6k kit but that's all I know about the HID kits. I found one that is a 9005 series DC HID kit. Is it any good?

Any info would be great.

BEFORE you get HIDs, get projector housings. Otherwise youll blind the hell out of everyone else on the road. Could cause accident (severe injury or death).

Do you have projectors? Installing the kit in stock reflectors will blind other drivers. I have an '01 sport, it takes 9007low/9004high.
Non-sport requires 9004 bulbs.
The 9004 kit usually comes wired as 9007(same plug) just need to switch two wires.
Anything above 5000K is very blue and reduces usable light output
I'd recommend 3500K yellow or 4300K white with hint of blue, or 5000K blue.

+1 on installing projector housings w/your HIDs, I just recently installed some halo projectors on mine. I went a little too blue though and got the 8000Ks, they look awesome around dusk but if it's real dark and you're not in a well lit town, it's pretty hard to see. may have to replace those with some 6000Ks before long. I can post up a pic if you wanna see what they look like

Yeah I'd like to see different types of lenses on my rig with out spending thousands on the lenses I wont like, I found one set on e-bay that I like and if what ya'll are saying is true they will work great with my hid kit.

What kit would you guys suggest? I know I want a 6k or close to 6k kit.

9004 bulb. I think i figured out the issue with my headlights. ty,

I'll try and snap a pic on my lunch break at work and post it up here. I would go with 6000k if I were you, I've got the 8000k right now and it's too blue.

oh they're bright, no doubt about it! I can see the road fine, it's just the blueness seems to make it harder to pick up other things you might run up on at night like deer or the occasional cow or whatever, and the rural area I live in has plenty of both, among other things. sometimes I'll hold the dimmer switch back so my brights and dims are both on, which is almost like daylight shootin outta the front of the truck!!
