Default Instrument Cluster Problems

I own a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 never really had any significant problems until about 6 months ago. My instrument cluster died. The diagnostic code was No Buss. After finding out how much it cost approx $800, I found a used one for $125 and had it installed by a local dealer, well it lasted about a week. So I bit the bullet and purchased a new cluster from the local dodge dealer and had them install it. That was about 4 months ago. Well this new cluster died on yesterday, same fault code "No Buss". Needless to say the truck will not run without the cluster functioning properly. Has anyone had a similar problem, something is causing this problem and I need to know what it is. Thanks for your help

Could be a bad electrical connection or bad PCM also..This link may give you some ideas- http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/d...hreadid=42909.
There is a TSB on it here- http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/08-05-00.htm
Good Luck

the rear speed sensor will cause the ABS & brake lights to be on and the speedo wont work properly.

i'd go get a shop manual from dodge and see if you can verify all of the grounds that are on the cluster. also as suggested earlier you may have a pcm problem.

what is not working on the cluster?
