Question Tailgate LED Bars

Anyone running these tailgate LED light bars? Where did you attach it? I was looking up under the tailgate and don't see a lot of room to mount one. I know Frenchy made some custom brackets to mount his, anyone else?

Altair attached his to the under side of his tailgate. Wait for him to chime in... or if you search, he has a thread on it.

Here you go: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...installed.html

I should really see if I took enough pictures to put together a DIY post for that so it will be easy to find in the future. Not sure if I have some at each step though.

Thanks man, What are the black pieces between the brackets and the actual light bar? and did you bolt through the LED bar to attach the black pieces/brackets? and in the end was the bar flush with the outside edge of the tailgate or recessed?

Well this shows the shape of the bar a little better along with those pieces:

They came with the bar, the instructions were to secure those (properly spaced) to the back of the bed with adhesive tape. Once the tape was set and secure you pop the bar on and screw it into them. I kept them on there for some extra stability, the top part of the "L" is not super thick and those black pieces spread the load out more than just the little brackets would. I drilled the holes so that the bar would be almost flush but pulled in a tiny bit. I'll run out and snap a pic with my phone of how it looks in the day.

Alright, hard to get a shot that shows how far in it is but hopefully these will help:

No problem, those pics are reminding me I still need to put some black sleeving on the wires and hardwire it so it's not in the trailer plug, always something...
