Default Customer Satisfaction Notification

Anyone else get one of these (05-07 models only)? Sounds to me like a safety recall because I have to take it to a Dodge dealer to have the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) reprogrammed because the side airbag inflatable curtain may not deploy during a side impact. I have an appt. tomorrow to get it done and am also going to have the stealer perform one of those "free" 16 point checks to see what they tell me I need to replace, seems they always find something...just had my 09 Journey in for an oil change and they told me it needs: New tires, new spark plugs and rear brake pads. This car has less than 30k miles on it. Just goes to show you the cheap tires the manunfacturers put on. and who replaces spark plugs at 30k in this day of platinum plugs that can go 100k??? and rear brakes wearing out before the front? at 30k? Of course I'm going to do all this myself...but damn, I figured a new car I could go a little longer before having to sink money into it (besides the payment). my rant is over....for now...

I run NGK 4644s (Same as the Autolite 3923s) so Im one heat range colder. A copper core plug though in the recommended heat range should be replaced around 30k miles though, IMO. While it will still run fine after 30k, you will start seeing signs of bad spark plugs eventually. Gaps will get larger and the problems will start arising. You probably dont need to do it right away; I would do it if you can do it yourself. $16 and an hour of time is cheap preventative maintence.

And this is all if you are running copper plugs. Platinums will last a lot longer.

well, got the recall taken care, they also did a 23 point inspection, checked all the fluids, including diffs and xfer case....said everything looked fine. For once I didn't get raped by the stealer....i think they were just so enthralled with the beast of a Dakota in their shop.....lol
