Default non uconnect bluetooth audio

so here is a quick and dirty hack for my 2010 dak

i have a single cd aux input am/fm stock radio in my truck

i found it a pain to plug my phone in and start pandora to listen to my music

so i got one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

and a old celphone charger for miniUSB (moto razor anyone)

tasker running on my android phone auto syncs to the BT, turns phone vol to max, and starts pandora...all from my pocket and no more wires running back and forth over the coffee in the morning

when i get out of the truck it loses sync and kills pandora/returns volume to previous levels

ill post pics after i shorten all the wires up and make it more compact

there is also a BT unit that looks like an ipod shuffle but stay away from it because the headphone out is the charging port

enjoy

if you have uconnect and the BTooth module you dont need this...if you have uconnect radio w/o Btooth module then this will work as it only uses the aux port on the front

the app is called tasker its only for andorid phones

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...ra-tasker.html

you can use the media control stuff (this article says pandora doesnt respond to them)

i use

context -> bluetooth connected "mydevice"
task on ->turn on &media volume 15 &load app pandora &wifi off
task off ->media control pause & go home & kill app pandora

i also have one that reads text messages when im in the car

i've read reviews on tasker and they are not good, but maybe those folks just dont understand it. For $6 it better work. I need that tesxt reading app too...since thats how I communicate mostly...lol

you can get a 7day trial from their website http://tasker.dinglisch.net/download.html

google searching for tasker profiles will show you the possibilities with the app
