Hello I need some help over here , please
I own a dakota 2007 4.7
I try to read the code with the key on off on off ,,,, when it is finish it is written done and not pdone even if the light to check engine is on.
There is a code on my dakota, I know how to erase it by unplugging the battery,
but I want to read that code before erasing it.
I tried 2 different obd scanner , and both of them could not connect to the computer
I don't know where to look anymore ,

I would take it to the dealer, seams like they might have to fix it for free under the federal emissions warranty, Sense they cannot scan your truck for emissions.

Have you checked the cables/connections for corrosion?
Are you missing any brass pins on the OBD jack.
Any loose wires?
