In all seriousness, if you have the funds, just have it all done right away. Upper control arms, lower ball joints, tie rods, struts, and I highly recommend strut mounts. Mine were bad and the shop didnt know it, and then I had to have them tear it apart again because my front end sounded like I had rocks in my frame.

I would have them at least looked at. with 90k it might not be a bad idea to go ahead and replace them.

I got the Moogs just because of the name. Everything else was similar in price, and some didnt come with the rubber piece and others did, so I just ordered them off of Rock Auto for $58 shipped.

Ok. As far as the lower control arm/joint, I guess just order a ball joint, not the whole assembly like the upper? I'm going to go ahead with having the shop do the lower ball joint, strut and strut mount for now. I'll give the upper a whirl in a few weeks after I pay some of this off.

The uppers are easy to swap yourself. You can just order new lower ball joints by themselves. As long as all goes well, the lower arms should be fine. If they damage the bushing that holds the bottom of the strut though, you will need to replace the whole control arm.

And here's the K&N Installed. First thing I noticed right off the bat was the off the line pickup is sooooo much better!!! As far as fuel milage, well if this mornings drive is any test it has gone up. Usually the mileage computer tells me about 14.9-15.1. This morning, driving about the same, maybe a little faster I was at 17.4. Only time will tell. Here's a pic of it installed:

Yea I'm not sure how long my Autolights were in though. I just bought the truck Sept 2010 with around 83K and I just got to changing them. I'm just about to turn 90k. It is amazing the difference in the engine. It is a lot quieter. Even the K&N really isn't that loud. That is until you stomp on the gas
