have you ever seen this website before, (http://www.truckrollbar.com) it looks small time legit but you never know, i personally am gonna check it out after deployment on my drive back to norfolk. figures i would run it by some impartial third party dakota guys first before spending anything.
Our of the 17 pages of pictures, I only found 2 that I liked. Whats with the 4 roll bars in a row BS? Is this protection from roll over crashes like in Casino Royale? Obviously it is there for cosmetics. Any type of roll over would just punch through the bed mounts, especially with 2500 trucks or bigger.

If you pinch the bed with 2 plates (one on top, one on bottom) and run another tube to the frame it would work just fine. They do that a lot on jeep roll cages. I would rather cut a hole and go straight to the frame, other wise you gotta deal with a lot of vibrations with no rubber between the tubes and the body.

Sure, I see what you are saying and agree. I was just referencing that these particular roll bars are strictly for cosmetic purposes. I use plates for the roll cages in our race cars (unibodies).
