2005 new exhaust
So with the new struts front, a Tm leveling kit is good choice? A lot of you running Rancho, My ride can best be described as driving a 60's CORVAIR unsafe at any speed. I need to beef up brakes and suspension. It's much faster now easy to break tires loose even when already moving. Brought fun back to driving the daily commute but have to get a lighter foot, tires squealing at every stop sign today!
The TM leveling kit is an "in-the-strut spacer" and any spacer will add some wear to your CVs, tie rods, and ball joints. That being said, if you're interested in a leveling kit, the TM would be the "safest" one because its only 1.5" but it makes a nice difference. It got my front end off the ground, but I still have a 1" difference between the front and back so there is a little rake. It looks like a 4x4 now though. You could do a 2" daystar kit up front too, but if its on top of the strut, it won't change the firmness, just the height of the truck.
Ranchos and the TM kit is pretty aggressive in terms of firmness. Im young though, so I don't mind sacrificing some ride comfort for firm suspension. I wouldn't have done this combo if I was giving old ladies with back problems and dentures rides everyday. They wouldn't even be able to b!tch about their backs hurting because their teeth would probably be down their throat going over a pot hole filled road. Jk! Its not that bad. If you want a little less aggressive though, you can look at Monroe struts as well. They won't be quite as firm.

Today is sad day my son taking 'Big Red' 96 Ram Sport,1500, dual exhaust, flowmaster 40, Rancho lift ,air ride,on board air ,Rancho Rs9000 with in-cab adjustment trading in today but he will probably B getting newer version of same truck in Red.
Jaded, I told him samething , just drive it to nearest Home Depot put for sale sign and cell number on it. I paid 26K new in 97 and put 10k to 12 k into it. Jasper replacement engine now , amaco trans. new ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, all new u joints.I told him someone would buy it in a week with all the bells and whistles, that it has. it also has K&N cold air intake. You can let the air out of the tires for 4 wheeling and then use the on board air system to reinflate them when you get back to pavement.also nice for inflating beds inner tubes etc. firestone air bags. He also put big tires on it. the ones in the pic were just to get it on the trailer for move from Pa to Va.
