Nice clean truck
Good point, I should be able to sand them down and repaint them. No biggie, it took the whole of an hour and a half to do. And I should have more time to work on it next weekend anyway, weather permitting. Any tips on painting the horrid chrome grill? I know to sand it down pretty well, but as far as number of coats and so forth.
@jkeaton Man, I wish I had a new set of tail lights to paint again haha. I love the Niteshades but don't like the way mine look in person. @Dimesismoneytoo I painted mine with plastidip and it looks great and required minimal preparation. Do you plan on going black or body color? I think body color would look better actually with the brush guard and black headlights..

I was thinking about what was said about the headlights not having a lip to follow .. could try looking around for a container lid or maybe a CD (havent messured) and make yourself a template ... tape all around only on the light then use the template and trace it on the tape you just stuck on the light ... lightly use a razor to cut the tape and remove the waste (could use template as a guide for razor) .. then fill in the center with paper, Tape or whatever and paint away ..ps not my most favorite idea using a razor on plastic ... but a spir-of-the-moment Idea.. its all I got for now...
I used a set of headlight covers I used to run as a template thenjust eyeballed the "brows". taped off the areas, sanded down the rest with 1200 grit and put 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of base followed by 3 coats of clear.
