Champion Spark Plugs Beware
Will stated he emailed my rebate tracking number to a rep at Champion he has been in contact with, and he will supposed get my rebate straightened out. We shall see.
Elmer's right though, either way, Will has been great to work with.

Talked to Will last night, and he'd said he'd forward my information to Jim at Champion.
Then got an email this morning from Jim Roedel, a Sales Development Manager at Federal Mogul.
If this pans out, and its just as simple as an error in the information the rebate reps had when they denied my rebate, maybe I will buy from Champion/Federal Mogul again. I got all riled up and figured it was just a way for them to deny my rebate. I may have overreacted.

I am sorry you had an issue with your rebate. I looked into this and the 9055 is a new part number so it was omitted accidently as these rebates get setup months in advance with the company that processes the rebates. We are working on getting the part number added and your rebate processed. I will let you know when they re-process your claim.

Overdue update:
I have been told that my claim will be reprocessed and my rebate issued early this month (June). As compensation for how long it's taken, he offered me some free wiper blades or a Subway gift card. I chose the blades.
I expected a pair... he sent me two pair. I am set for blades for a long time now, very nice way to make up the inconvenience to me.

Fixin' to have to buy eight Platinums for my 4.7 HO rebuild. Was gonna use Champions since the Mopar bi*ches are $16 a pop. Gonna have to check on that rebate deal before I drop any coin...
Thanks for the heads up, Jason...

Clarification: a rep from Champion sent me the wiper blades, not Rock Auto. Sorry for the confusion there.
However, if it weren't for Will at Rock Auto, I never would have been able to get in touch with the Champion rep, and bypass the rebate peons that refuse to do anything for you.
So Champion is slowly winning me back. Regardless, Rock Auto is #1 in my books.
Its up to you Hammer, but I'd look at the iridium plugs. Conduct as well as copper, and as hard as platinum. If you get the right ones, they last forever, as well. Beware of the ones that brag about how thin or narrow their iridium is. They talk it up like it helps the plug, but what it really means is how fast the plug wears out. NGK makes some, for example, that wear out almost as fast as a copper plug, because they have super thin iridium at the plug's core.
The Champions I ordered are a brand new type of plug for the newer Hemi and 2008+ 4.7s, just release in February or March. They priced them to undercut the competing iridium plugs, and the rebate just sealed the deal. IIRC, the rebate thing is going on through June. Make sure your plugs aren't part 9055, and you shouldn't have a problem with the rebate.

I've been warned by a couple of Chrysler techs about using ANY different plug than the Platinum one the HO calls for (or the Champion & NGK that are identical). They've seen multiple problems with the HO by using a different plug - both copper and iridium.
Since I'm doing a total rebuild (thanks to Daimler/Chrysler cutting corners in their process of pressing hardened steel valve seats into soft aluminum heads on the 3.7 & 4.7 engines), I don't want to do it over again, so I'm sticking right to the letter with the recommended plugs.
The Mopar ones are $16+ each (P/N SPRC7PYCB4) but the Champions (P/N RC7PYCB4) are available for $4.79 each locally...

Reached a conclusion.
Champion finally came through. After over three months since I first tried to apply for the rebate, the supervisor I've been working with got tired of the company they hired to manage their rebates giving him the run-around. He sent me a $50 Best Buy gift card, which was $10 more than the rebate would have been worth.
If it hadn't been for Will at Rock Auto, I would have never been in contact with Jim (supervisor/department manager) at Champion. I am willing to give Champion a second try later, and definitely will continue using Rock Auto.
In the beginning what I wanted: 16 iridium spark plugs, $40 rebate
What I ended up with: 16 iridium spark plugs, $50 Best Buy gift card, four free windshield wipers
Jim @ Federal Mogul did go the extra mile in the end to help me, and he didn't have too. Will @ Rock Auto was great to deal with, even though it wasn't Rock Auto's fault.
